Defining the problem

DLF’s member organisations were eager to explore how AI could enhance productivity, innovation, and decision-making. However, professionals across departments often felt disconnected from the technology and unsure how to evaluate or apply it in their day-to-day work. There was a clear need for high-quality, non-technical training that made AI approachable, practical, and directly relevant to corporate challenges.

Beyond that, many organisations were seeking strategic guidance on how to go from learning to implementation but didn’t yet have a roadmap. SOPHIA responded by designing bespoke training as a strategic first step: a way to spark understanding, build internal momentum, and identify areas where tailored consulting support could help companies move from experimentation to execution.

Our solution

SOPHIA created and delivered a series of targeted training sessions, focused on the practical use of Generative AI, AI agents, and responsible innovation in a business context. Each session was tailored to reflect the priorities and regulatory landscape of UK-based organisations, including marketing automation, digital health, and internal process optimisation.

Live demonstrations, guided tool testing, and real-world case studies made the content immediately actionable. Importantly, the sessions were also designed to surface consulting needs—such as workflow redesign, pilot project planning, and AI agent deployment—through interactive activities and follow-up discussions.

The goal was not just to teach, but to start building internal readiness for AI transformation, with SOPHIA positioned as a long-term partner.

Impact

Over 200 professionals participated in the program, developing practical skills and clarity around how AI could fit into their roles and business units. SOPHIA’s tailored approach generated consulting leads with three major organisations, all exploring the development and implementation of AI agents and data orchestration workflows.

This initiative demonstrated how training can serve as a catalyst for long-term digital transformation and positioned SOPHIA as a trusted partner in the UK corporate and consulting landscape.
