Defining the Problem

As AI continues to reshape the cosmetics industry, Intercos needed a way to equip its workforce with a shared understanding of core AI technologies, opportunities, and risks. The goal is to create a strong foundation of AI literacy that supports broader innovation, compliance, and strategic use across the company.

Our Solutions

SOPHIA designed a two-phase approach:
Phase 1 focused on general awareness, delivering three modules to all employees.

Topics included:
* Key AI concepts (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Generative AI)
* Applications of AI in the cosmetics sector
* Global AI regulations, ethics, and governance
* Introduction to AI agents and real-world use cases

Phase 2, now underway, involves co-creating tailored hands-on training sessions for multiple departments (e.g., legal, marketing, HR, sales, product development). Each session will be designed to align with functional priorities and the potential for AI adoption.

Impact

Phase 1 successfully built a common baseline of AI awareness and generated internal momentum for further experimentation. Teams are now better equipped to explore AI tools with a critical and strategic lens, while Phase 2 is poised to deepen capability at the functional level.
